Challenge for Prayer
Christian training and sending – few Christian areas in the world have such a high density of theological colleges; there are at least 19. Pray for more students who will become effective pastors, social workers, church planters and missionaries. Challenge for Prayer
Tribal peoples of Orissa (and in adjoining Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh) have responded enthusiastically to Christian witness. The Oraon, Kharia, Munda, Savara, Kisan, Khond and Kol have significant numbers of Christians. Their illiteracy, economic deprivation and political marginalization are the main reasons for their responsiveness – and for the shackles on further Christian growth. Numerous denominations and agencies work among them.
