Challenge for Prayer
The largest Christian communities are among the Serer, Jola, Bassari and Cape Verdean peoples. Most are nominally Catholic and from a non-Muslim background. Their influence is disproportionately great through their input into health services and education. Their lifestyle, however, often brings no credit to the cause of Christ, for few know real freedom in Jesus and victory over the powers of darkness.
