Seven things the Baptism
in the Holy Spirit will do for you.
1. John 16:14–16 -
He will bring Glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to
you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will
take from what is mine and make it known to you. “In a little while you will
see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.”
2. Romans 8:16 - The
Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
3. John 16:13 - But
when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will
not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you
what is yet to come.
4. Jude 1:20–21 But
you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the
Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our
Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
5. Romans 5:5 And
hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our
hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
6. Romans 14:17-18 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of
righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is
pleasing to God and approved by men.
7. Be effective in your function
a. Acts 1: 18
(With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell
headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out.
b. 1 Corinthians 12 4-11 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are
different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of
working, but the same God works all of them in all men. 7 Now to each one the
manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is
given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of
knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit,
to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous
powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to
another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the
interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same
Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.
