Answer to Prayer
Praise God for the growth of Christian media as a means of spreading the gospel, the Word of God and Christian teaching. The fruitfulness of Christian radio and the remarkable faith of those who had broadcast into China for years with little visible evidence of a response are now plain to see. The Internet is also creating extraordinary new openings for sharing the gospel, for discipling and for communicating with believers and seekers. Perhaps most astonishing is the emergence of Christian publishing within China; although challenges remain in terms of quantities and distribution, Bibles and Christian book titles are being produced in impressive quantities. For an additional 8 Answers to Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.

Challenge for Prayer
The Church has grown remarkably, with house churches more than doubling in the last 10 years, building on a pre-revolution foundation of Presbyterian mission activity. A high proportion, perhaps 20%, of Christians in the province are Korean. Both locals and foreigners, especially Koreans, are active in ministry and church planting. Pray for greater levels of discipleship and continued evangelistic fervour for believers. For an additional 3 Challenges for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.

Challenge for Prayer
There is a significant turning to Christianity in the north, along the Yellow River where many Han immigrants live. Christian ministry to the poor has yielded great response among farmers and working-class people. Pray for the formation of churches where the many new believers can be led in discipleship and study of the Bible. For an additional Challenge for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.
