A Note from Our Friend Pat

Words determine the fabric of our lives.  We use them everyday and they paint the picture of our experience.  The Bible tells us in Proverbs that death and life are in the power of the tongue.  We should not say anything that we do not want to be true.  We need to be mindful of the words we speak to ourselves and the words we speak to others. We get into trouble when we speak words that we do not mean or we say when we are under pressure.
Words can heal us or cause us to be ill.  Words can make a deeper scar than silence can ever heal.  Words sometimes serve as a smoke screen to obscure the truth, rather than as a searchlight to reveal the truth.  Today, let us be aware of the words we speak.  They will determine what we experience tomorrow.
