Above all, love each other deeply

1 Peter 4:8-11 (New International Version)

8Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.9Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.10Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.11If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 16 (New International Version)

Psalm 16

A miktam of David. [a]

1 Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.
2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."

3 As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight. [b]

4 The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.

5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.

6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.

7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.

8 I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,

10 because you will not abandon me to the grave, [c] nor will you let your Holy One [d] see decay.

11 You have made [e] known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Michael W Smith - Let it Rain

Based on Philippians 3

Feb 18: Argentina

R U A Citizen of Heaven?

Philippians 3 (Complete Jewish Bible)

1In conclusion, my brothers: rejoice in union with the Lord. It is no trouble for me to repeat what I have written you before, and for you it will be a safeguard:2beware of the dogs, those evildoers, the Mutilated!3For it is we who are the Circumcised, we who worship by the Spirit of God and make our boast in the Messiah Yeshua! We do not put confidence in human qualifications,4even though I certainly have grounds for putting confidence in such things. If anyone else thinks he has grounds for putting confidence in human qualifications, I have better grounds:5b'rit-milah on the eighth day, by birth belonging to the people of Isra'el, from the tribe of Binyamin, a Hebrew-speaker, with Hebrew-speaking parents, in regard to the Torah, a Parush,6in regard to zeal, a persecutor of the Messianic Community, in regard to the righteousness demanded by legalism, blameless.7But the things that used to be advantages for me, I have, because of the Messiah, come to consider a disadvantage.8Not only that, but I consider everything a disadvantage in comparison with the supreme value of knowing the Messiah Yeshua as my Lord. It was because of him that I gave up everything and regard it all as garbage, in order to gain the Messiah9and be found in union with him, not having any righteousness of my own based on legalism, but having that righteousness which comes through the Messiah's faithfulness, the righteousness from God based on trust.10Yes, I gave it all up in order to know him, that is, to know the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings as I am being conformed to his death,11so that somehow I might arrive at being resurrected from the dead.12It is not that I have already obtained it or already reached the goal - no, I keep pursuing it in the hope of taking hold of that for which the Messiah Yeshua took hold of me.13Brothers, I, for my part, do not think of myself as having yet gotten hold of it; but one thing I do: forgetting what is behind me and straining forward toward what lies ahead,14I keep pursuing the goal in order to win the prize offered by God's upward calling in the Messiah Yeshua.15Therefore, as many of us as are mature, let us keep paying attention to this; and if you are differently minded about anything, God will also reveal this to you.16Only let our conduct fit the level we have already reached.17Brothers, join in imitating me, and pay attention to those who live according to the pattern we have set for you.18For many - I have told you about them often before, and even now I say it with tears - live as enemies of the Messiah's execution-stake.19They are headed for destruction! Their god is the belly; they are proud of what they ought to be ashamed of, since they are concerned about the things of the world.20But we are citizens of heaven, and it is from there that we expect a Deliverer, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.21He will change the bodies we have in this humble state and make them like his glorious body, using the power which enables him to bring everything under his control.

Psalm 15

A psalm of David.

1 LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?
2 He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart

3 and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman,

4 who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts,

5 who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

A Dream About the Flood Gates of Heaven opening up

A Dream I had Today:

This afternoon when I took a nap I saw a rain storm coming in from the north east a rain storm like I have never seen before. It was like a flood gate had been opened, water was just pouring down out of Heaven and it washed everything out of its way. It was coming towards me. Then I woke up. I did not understand what it was about. When I told Gloria about it she got word about the song "Let it Rain" before I told her about the flood gates part.

Give ADONAI the glory due his name;

Psalm 29 (Complete Jewish Bible)

1A psalm of David: Give ADONAI his due, you who are godly; give ADONAI his due of glory and strength;2give ADONAI the glory due his name; worship ADONAI in holy splendor.3The voice of ADONAI is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, ADONAI over rushing waters,4the voice of ADONAI in power, the voice of ADONAI in splendor.5The voice of ADONAI cracks the cedars; ADONAI splinters the cedars of the L'vanon6and makes the L'vanon skip like a calf, Siryon like a young wild ox.7The voice of ADONAI flashes fiery flames;8the voice of ADONAI rocks the desert, ADONAI convulses the Kadesh Desert.9The voice of ADONAI causes deer to give birth and strips the forests bare -while in his temple, all cry, "Glory!"10ADONAI sits enthroned above the flood! ADONAI sits enthroned as king forever!11May ADONAI give strength to his people! May ADONAI bless his people with shalom!

Psalm 14 (New International Version)

Psalm 14

For the director of music. Of David.

1 The fool [a] says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.

3 All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

4 Will evildoers never learn— those who devour my people as men eat bread and who do not call on the LORD ?

5 There they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous.

6 You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge.

7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

My help and glory are in God...

Psalm 62:5-8 (The Message)

5God, the one and only - I'll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not?6He's solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I'm set for life.7My help and glory are in God8So trust him absolutely, people; lay your lives on the line for him. God is a safe place to be.

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1 How long, O LORD ? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?

3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death;

4 my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall.

5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.

6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.

"I AM"

Feb 15: Angola

Jesus is the Answer

And he will give you another comforting Counselor...

John 14:12-18 (Complete Jewish Bible)

12Yes, indeed! I tell you that whoever trusts in me will also do the works I do! Indeed, he will do greater ones, because I am going to the Father.
13In fact, whatever you ask for in my name, I will do; so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.14If you ask me for something in my name, I will do it.15"If you love me, you will keep my commands;16and I will ask the Father, and he will give you another comforting Counselor like me, the Spirit of Truth, to be with you forever.17The world cannot receive him, because it neither sees nor knows him. You know him, because he is staying with you and will be united with you.18I will not leave you orphans -- I am coming to you.

A prayer of thanks
