Challenge for Prayer
New life in the churches has come recently through new mission activity by SIM/AIM, YWAM as well as Reformed, Baptist and Pentecostal groups, particularly to under-reached areas and peoples. Charismatic fellowships – both independent and within many denominations, including the mainline groups – bring new life and fervour. Several strategic groups formed to see Namibia transformed for Christ, the Evangelical Fellowship most notable among these. Pray for all to hear the gospel once again and many to turn back to Christ, and pray for unity and cooperation among all groups seeking to uplift Christ in this nation. For an additional 7 Challenges for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.

Challenge for Prayer
Economic meltdown has struck this tiny nation. After years of boom, Nauru has gone bust. The mining industry is a shadow of its former self, and the two other major income sources have also dried up. Almost all food must be imported, and freshwater supplies are insufficient. Half of the indigenous population has diabetes; 90% are overweight and unemployed. Pray for sustainable economic solutions that will provide livelihoods for those making the island their home. For an additional Challenge for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.
