Challenge for Prayer
Evangelicals are many, 29% of the population, in contrast to the mother country of Denmark. In particular, the Brethren churches make a significant impact as missionaries, both at home and abroad. The Faeroe Islands send a proportionately large number of missionaries – around 100 in more than 20 countries; pray that this may continue. Pray for the Spirit to continue impacting the Church in the Faeroe Islands; pray that Christians will be wise in engaging the postmodern and secular attitudes that increasingly challenge the primacy of the Bible and Christian tradition. For an additional 3 Challenges for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.

Challenge for Prayer
The British forces based on these windswept but spectacular islands enjoy the support of the local populace, but are far from home. Pray for the work of chaplains ministering to them as well as the Oasis coffee shop, an outreach ministry on the military base itself. Pray for believers in the forces as they witness to their comrades. For an additional 2 Challenges for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.
