Challenge for Prayer
The window of opportunity for spiritual receptivity might not be open indefinitely. China today faces materialism – with increasing wealth, the debilitating effects of spreading corruption, moral decline and the growing social and economic impact of the one-child policy. All of these may profoundly affect the spiritual openness of the nation and the Church itself. Pray that the Refiner’s fire might keep burning and that the Church’s spiritual cutting edge – honed in the midst of persecution – might not be blunted. For an additional 6 Challenges for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.

Challenge for Prayer
The Communist Long March began here — a march that ended with political triumph for that ideology, but much pain and trouble for China. Jiangxi still possesses much Communist heritage, and it suffers from weak and often corrupt leaders, who institute policies that frequently spark massive protests and even riots by disgruntled farmers and peasants. The province remains mostly poor, especially in contrast to its very wealthy neighbouring provinces to the east. Pray for the release of this province from all that opposes God.For an additional Challenge for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.

Challenge for Prayer
The Chinese Korean Church has a special and strategic role to play for North Korea. Hundreds of thousands have fled that repressed land in the past decade, the vast majority crossing over into NE China. Christians play a dangerous role in sheltering and hiding these refugees who are hunted by both North Korean security forces and Chinese police; the punishment for sheltering or aiding such escapees is severe and exceeded only by the penalty meted out to the North Koreans if they are caught. China’s Korean believers will also play a massive part in whatever national rebuilding occurs should North Korea’s regime crumble. For an additional 3 Challenges for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.
