Answer to Prayer
The Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), signed in 2005, has held since then and allowed the war-torn south to attempt rebuilding some semblance of infrastructure and stability. A heavy presence of northern military and militias remains in the south, as do widely held questions of how long the peace will last. But peace, however tenuous, and the opportunity to plan and build for the future continue for now. For an additional 3 Answers to Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.

Challenge for Prayer
Sudan has known only war for its entire modern history. Violence is rife throughout Sudan, which is regarded as one of the world’s least stable nations. The belligerent government/military waged war against restive populations in the south, west and east at massive human and economic cost to its own citizens. With such religious, ethnic and linguistic diversity added to civil conflicts and hostile relations with neighbours, peace is nearly impossible. Pray for sweeping change at the highest levels and throughout the land – for repentance, restitution and rebuilding of communal life.For an additional 12 Challenges for Prayer see Operation World book, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM.
More Information
The Operation World book, CD-ROM, and DVD-ROM provide far more information and fuel for prayer for the people of Sudan.
7 Days - Wisdom Calls [Christian Metal] (Veni Domine cover) (lyrics)
Symphonic Progressive Melodic Power Metal
Band: 7 Days
Song: Wisdom Calls
Album: The Weight Of The World (2006)
Lyrics:
Wisdom Calls Aloud In The Streets
Hear Her Raising Her Voice In The Squares
How Long Will You Simple Ones
Love Your Evil Ways
Turn Around And Listen To My Rebuke
And I Will Pour Out My Spirit On You
Turn Around And Listen To My Rebuke
And I Will Let You Hear My Words
As The Moon Turns To Blood
So Many Will Understand
As The Seals Are Breaking One By One
Hear My Words - Hear The Wisdom Call
For You Wouldn't Hear When I Cried
And You Didn't React When I Reached Out My Hand To You
As You Let My Advice Drain Away
And You Didn't Accept My Rebuke
Therefore Shall I Smile When Your Day Has Come
And Despise You When Things That You Fear Are Near
When Your Fear Comes Like A Storm
There Will Be Anguish And Pain
Then They Will Call To Me But I Shall Not Answer
They Will Look For Me But Nothing Will Be Found
Since They Hated Knowledge And Did Not Choose To Fear The Lord
They Would Not Accept My Advice And Spurred My Rebuke
They Will Eat The Fruit Of Their Ways
And Be Filled With The Wine Of Their Schemes
But The One Who Listens To Me
He Will Live In Security
And Be Sheltered Against The Curse Of Death
Wisdom Calling Me
Psalm 70
Psalm 70
New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 70
Psalm 70[a]
For the director of music. Of David. A petition. 1 Hasten, O God, to save me;come quickly, LORD, to help me.
2 May those who want to take my life
be put to shame and confusion;
may all who desire my ruin
be turned back in disgrace.
3 May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!”
turn back because of their shame.
4 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who long for your saving help always say,
“The LORD is great!”
5 But as for me, I am poor and needy;
come quickly to me, O God.
You are my help and my deliverer;
LORD, do not delay.

- Psalm 70:1 In Hebrew texts 70:1-5 is numbered 70:2-6.
